Das holde Tal
This is one of Fanny Hensel’s accompanied duets for soprano and tenor. This work is based on text by Goethe, and is not to be confused with Das Holde Tal (H153), a lied for soprano and piano from 1825 based on the same text. Hensel composed this duet in 1840 in Rome and dedicated the piece to the painter Eduard Magnus, with whom she socialized there.
