Adagio for violin & piano

Fanny Hensel wrote this duet in 1823 at age 17. This was the first of four piano and string duets Fanny composed in her lifetime, and the only surviving piece for violin and piano (another violin and piano duet from 1841 has been lost).

Special thank you to James Woodrow for collaborating on this score!
