Sage mir, was mein Herz begehrt

This a cappella trio was composed by Fanny Hensel in 1840 and set to a text by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The song is written for two sopranos and an alto, but the second soprano part is rather low and could also be sung by an alto. This song was written in while Hensel was in Rome and sent to Berlin in a birthday letter to her mother Lea.
