Capriccio in F-sharp minor
Composed in 1836, this was programmed as the last work in Hensel’s pivotal Ten Piano Pieces 1836-1837.
The theme of this work is an adaptation of Felix Mendelssohn’s Scherzo a capriccio from 1835, an example of the siblings’ sharing of musical ideas.
