This is one of 13 accompanied duets for soprano and alto by Fanny Hensel (Hensel says it is for two sopranos, but the soprano 2 part is closer to an alto range). This work was composed in 1836 and is the first in a three-part mini-cycle about the months March, April, and May based on text by Goethe.
